  • How do I create an account?

Creating a seller account on Wargame Trader is easy! Click on the "For Sellers" button at the top header of our homepage, fill in the required information, and follow the prompts to complete your registration. Once your account is created, you’ll have to fill out some additional information when prompted in the seller portal (payout information, contact information, and shipping methods, specifically) and then you can start selling right away.

Please note that currently only sellers based in the U.S.A are allowed to sell on Wargame Trader.

  • How do I list items for sale?

To list items for sale, log in to your account and then perform the following steps, in order:

    1. Navigate to the "Products" "List Products to Sell" section.
    2. Search for the product you are selling in the search bar at the top of the page.
    3. Click the SELL PRODUCT button to the right of that product.
    4. On the next page, scroll down and select the "Completeness" and "Condition" combination that matches your product by clicking the "Sell Product" button to the right of that product.
    5. In the resulting popup, input the desired product price, including your anticipated shipping costs and the quantity for that product. If the custom image and description fields are marked as required, input those fields as well. Click the Submit button, and then your product will be visible to buyers on our marketplace. NOTE: Please ensure the product's price includes anticipated shipping costs in addition to the price of the product itself. You are responsible for the final cost to ship your products.
  • What types of items can I sell on Wargame Trader?

You can sell a wide range of wargaming-related items from both the Warhammer 40k and Heroscape games, including miniatures and terrain pieces. All items available to list can be found under the Products → List Products To Sell tab in the header of your seller portal.

  • How do I contact customer support?

If you need assistance, you can reach our customer support team by clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of our homepage. Fill out the contact form, and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Are there any fees for using Wargame Trader?

Creating an account and browsing listings is free. We charge a small, industry-leading commission fee on each sale to cover the costs of maintaining and improving our platform.

Our fee during our early-access period is just 6.5%. Our competitors offer fees of 11-15% to sellers, making Wargame Trader the most cost-effective option for selling your wargame merchandise.

  • How do I get paid?

When you sign up as a seller, you will be required to add one or more payment methods on this page. The recommended method is Paypal for Business, as it is the most secure, fastest, and straightforward way to get paid. In order to use Paypal payouts, you will need to create a business Paypal account, and can do so here.

Alternatively, a secondary, not recommended approach is to manually input your bank account information into the seller portal. Note that this may result in slower processing times, and is less secure than the Paypal approach.

For either approach, payment for your sales will be transferred to your payout method of choice no sooner than 21 days after customer payment for the sale has been processed and you have added shipping information for the order into the seller portal. In the case of Paypal payments, it should be transferred automatically to your business Paypal account 21 days after the date you added shipping information for the order; for manual payments, it may take longer.

You can see your order payout information on your "Order Payments" page at any time. You can see a breakdown of how that payment was calculated, accounting for commissions, shipping, and fees, on your "Commissions" page.

Please note that when using Paypal for Business as your payment method, Paypal will take a small fee from the purchase.

  • What is your return policy?

If a customer requests a return or refund request, the seller can initiate the return/refund by clicking the "View" button on the requested order. At the bottom of the page, the return request information will be displayed, and the seller can edit or view the return request to process the return request.

Wargame Trader is not directly involved with transactions between buyers and sellers. If a dispute arises, buyers and sellers are expected to deal with each other to come to a resolution. At times, Wargame Trader Customer Service may step in to mediate disputes between buyers and sellers on our platform. During mediation, Wargame Trader Customer Service may apply full or partial refunds to resolve disagreements. However, any and all refunds are at the discretion of Wargame Trader and any attempt to mediate does not impose any obligation or potential liability upon Wargame Trader.

  • How are taxes handled?

Currently, Wargame Trader does not handle sales tax, though we will update here if that changes in the future. However, the IRS requires all marketplaces in the United States to provide a 1099k form to all sellers that reach a certain threshold. In order for us to comply with the law, Wargame Trader requires all sellers to provide us with a tax identification number. This number is usually a Social Security Number (SSN) if you're selling as an individual, or an Employer Identification Number (EIN) if you're selling as a company. You must provide us with a tax identifier in order to sell on Wargame Trader in accordance with U.S. law. We will only use this identifier to send you a 1099k during tax season every year. Your identifier will be stored in a secure, encrypted database, and is safeguarded by the same modern security protocols that all of our systems are backed by.

You can find more information on the IRS's website here: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/understanding-your-form-1099-k

  • What happens if there's a dispute?

    Disputes Between Buyers and Sellers

Because Wargame Trader is not directly involved with transactions between buyers and sellers, you agree to release Wargame Trader from all claims, demands and damages related to transaction disputes. A buyer may contact a seller of a product they have purchased regarding questions or disputes around that purchase.

    Disputes with Wargame Trader

  • What happens when there's a discount on Wargame Trader?
When Wargame Trader does a discount promotion (for example, for Black Friday), buyers will pay the discounted price, while sellers will get the full commission as though the purchase was at full-price. Wargame Trader will bear the additional costs for the promotion, making it a win-win for both the buyer and the seller.
